Title of blog-post courtesy Trish Burgess (via Kerry Katona)... Sorry, Trish - but it was just too good an opportunity to miss!
Anyway, (Charlie's) mum went to Iceland on Monday with a group of sixth-form geographers. On Wednesday they were due to visit the glacier beneath which Eyjafjallajökull erupted, but the road was closed. Today (Friday) they were due to fly home but all the airports are closed. It's a rather large pain the you-know-what to be honest... we're supposed to be at a family party the other side of the country tomorrow lunchtime. But having spent a wonderful long weekend in the country last September, I wouldn't go as far as this disgruntled traveller...

Frozen pizza anyone?
Thanks to Scottish airspace being re-opened and Icelandair marshalling their resources, Sarah and her school party have got a place on a flight to Glasgow this evening!
